The story of You're going to die goes all the way back to 1996 when it was one of the original Riot Squad songs. I will let the written history of Riot Squad and the Restrainers tell that story:

The DP boys was an early possible alternate name for Riot Squad based on “Adventures of the DP Boys” (deep penetration) porn video series
That became “softy bands, you’re going to die” but that sounded too childish so it became like a public service announcement

You better get ready you stupid fools
You’re going to die was a hard rocking, almost metal number. Not exactly an Oi song though, even though it had “Oi Oi Oi” in it. Lyrically it was a declaration of war upon Queenstown.

From my lyrics you would have thought that I was constantly in trouble with the police, whereas intact we never had anything to do with them. It was taken from the troubles of UK Oi bands in the 1980s and the police merely represented ‘authority."
A few years after playing the song in both Riot Squad and The Restrainers there was the 911 terrorist attacks. I thought it would be a good idea to do an edgy single referring to those events and so me and Daniel recorded it on my four-track. That was under the name The Base Jumpers. That name was based on the pictures of people jumping to their deaths out of the twin tower just before they collapsed - so absolutely horrible and the most bad taste you could possibly imagine. I made a CD with it on that had the picture that inspired the name on the cover and then I put that single at Sanctuary, a second-hand record store in Rattray st St Dunedin. Then I got scared of that and withdrew the single. I don't know why I got scared. I don't think the CIA shopped at Sanctuary but there you go.
Anyway it's 2021 and I'm not scared anymore. Maybe I should be but come on, we're all going to die eventually aren't we?
